Ok– so it’s not the most glorifying vocation through the eyes of John Q. Public– we get that. As a chimney sweep, I’m not rushing into burning buildings or otherwise finding the spotlight.
But we save lives. Whether saving physical life– as from carbon monoxide poisoning or a chimney fire, or physical things— like your home, business and belongings.
On January 13, 2000, the National Fire Protection Association adopted code NFPA 211 (Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces, Vents and Solid Fuel Burning Appliances) and defined 3 inspection levels.
